Purpose:  

Salute the visionaries before us and spotlight the vibrant Phoenix community.  Collaborate with partners who promote universal ideals for equity, learning, prosperity, and stewardship.

Plan:

Invite the non-profit, government, education and business leaders most invested in building the character of Phoenix to organize and program their special-interest zone of Encanto Park for the 75^th Anniversary celebration.  Centralize logistical support to enable each zone to focus on promoting and displaying its core mission.

Key themes:

·         Celebrate Phoenix and our collective heritage

·         Thanksgiving attitude of gratitude

·         Act local first

·         Public, free places help create community character

·         Primary social, economic, environmental and health benefits from parks

·         Solution multipliers - trees and shade, fun and fitness
